Hey there, I'm Dr. Will Gonzaba. I am a Doctor of Physical Therapy and Owner of PHYSIO2GEAUX.
I'm super excited to launch PHYSIO2GEAUX here in New Orleans, as I know it will help many in this community live and move pain free!
You can read more about PHYSIO2GEAUX and what we do through the website, so I'd like to share a some information about myself here.
I was born here in New Orleans, LA along with my four younger siblings. My parents, who are both originally from San Antonio, Tx, moved to New Orleans shortly after getting married to complete their medical residencies. We lived here until I was 10 years old and during that time was brain washed as a New Orleans Saints fan.
My family and I moved back to San Antonio, but New Orleans always had a special place in our hearts. We continued to visits our friends several times a year.
I attended St. Mary's University in San Antonio, and was in the pre-med track and planning to one day go to medical school. However, while in college I began competing in triathlons and I became more active in the fitness community. This involvement exposed me to the field of physical therapy, and I never looked back!
I went on to complete my Doctorate of Physical Therapy at University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas. I served as the vice president of my class, and had many great clinical experiences in the outpatient - sports physical therapy community.
After graduating I had the honor of working with one my mentors Dr. Julie Barnett in her orthopedic-sports clinic. I then went on to assist Gonzaba Medical Group (a family medicine practice) establish a profitable physical therapy clinic.
Last year my wife graduated from medical school and we had the opportunity to move to New Orleans. We have enjoyed living here and participating in the many festivals and events in the city.
Opening my own practice has always been a dream of mine, and this year was the year for me to pursue this dream.
I wake up every day thrilled to grow this company and to help people. Through my work experience, I know that it's difficult for people to make time to take of their bodies. At times people do not know there solutions to their pain other than medications, injections, and giving up activities they love. I want to promote healing in this community by making physical therapy accessible, convenient, and personal.
Thanks for taking the time to checkout my site!
